What is the Longest Day?
In 2026, the summer solstice and Armed Forces Day come together for the return of our Longest Day Challenge.
This is your moment to push past limits. Every challenge feels impossible until you break through it, and you can break through it.
This June, set a personal best. Run, walk, ride, row, swim, climb, or dive - or support someone chasing their own goal.
Every effort helps raise vital funds for those who faced their own longest day.
Make this summer count. Make it your Longest Day.

Pedal to the metal
Grab your helmet, set a goal, and see how far you can ride this Longest Day.

Let's move it
However you get around, get moving and go further that you've ever done before. Do it for a day, week, or month - the choice is yours!

Game to glory
Are you a keen gamer and want to use your passion to fundraise? Why not host a gaming stream and ask people to donate while you play.
Why take part?
Whether mentally, physically or socially wounded we support the most in need. They are the ex-service personnel who have fallen furthest from where they want to be and need a personalised programme to help them get back on their feet.
You will directly support our three core programmes of support; employment, mental health and support care coordination.
Meet our Ambassador
Our Longest Day Ambassador, David ‘Monkey’ Moncrieff, served 22 years in the RAF and conducted tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
After suffering a training accident resulting in a severe leg injury, David avoided a near amputation and went on to take part in the 2023 Invictus Games held in Düsseldorf, in both Rowing and Swimming.
David’s journey is a powerful reminder that a personal best is not just about physical achievements. It’s also about pushing through obstacles, defying expectations and constantly striving for improvement.

Over the years, Longest Day has evolved to become a powerful celebration of personal achievement, all in support of the veteran community. Year after year, we show what we can achieve together.
